2005 Strategic Performance Planning Process VISION 2010: FWISD Strategic Performance Plan - One Dream, One Team! The Vision, Mission, Goals and Performance Standards, developed from the community input phase of the strategic planning process, were approved by the Board on January 24, 2006. Next, performance measures and action plans for each Performance Standard will be established in time to develop the 2006-07 school year budget. Results of Strategic Performance Planning Process surveys, community input Your vision moving into action! A strategic performance planning process is being undertaken by the Fort Worth Independent School District under the direction of the Board of Education and Superintendent Melody Johnson. More than 1,400 people attended over twenty public meetings were held throughout the community in September and October in 2005. Information gathered at the meetings will be used to formulate vision, mission, and belief statements for the district. Over 14,000 surveys were submitted from the community. Questions on the survey will be used to determine public perceptions about the Fort Worth ISD and to guide the District in developing specific goals, strategies and standards as well as a specific plan of work. The vision, mission, goals and performance standards were approved at the Board of Education meeting January 24, 2006. They will be used to develop action plans for the 2006-07 school year and to develop the District’s budget.
