The Special Education Department
in conjunction with the district's statement of Philosophy and
Commitment supports the district's focus on academic achievement
and/or vocational training for all students.
The department embraces the district's
emphasis on a system which combines a sound academic program
with career exploration and preparation components to serve all
students. The department will use district curriculum, when appropriate,
to support the district's primary focus on reading, mathematics,
English language arts, social studies and science. The department
will provide support in the delivery of all services as determined
by an Admission, Review, or Dismissal (ARD) Committee and as
stated in the Individual Education Plan (IEP) goals.
