Elementary Health and Physical Education:

Grades PreK through 2nd the daily minimum is 30 minutes of P.E.
Grades 3-5 the daily average is 45 minutes taught by a P.E. specialist.
Activities may include the following on:

  • Fitness
  • Cooperative Games
  • Ball Handling
  • Juggling, Cupstacking, and Jump Rope
  • Dance and Rhythms
  • Nutrition
  • Hygiene
  • Human Body including "Growth and Development", Bones, and Muscles

Many of our children participate in roller-skating, "fun runs", and field day events. Our programs offer a variety of activities for the children's health and knowledge. Emphasis is also put on social skills and conflict resolution.

Middle and High School Health and Physical Education:

Three semesters of Physical Education (P.E.)
One semester of Health
Activities may include the following on:

  • Fitness
  • Cooperative Games
  • Skill Development-ball handling, running, jumping
  • Individual and Team Sports
  • Dance and Rhythms
  • Social Skills and Conflict Resolution
  • Harmful effect of drugs, smoking, and alcohol
  • Nutrition
  • Hygiene
  • Pregnancy prevention (high school level)
  • Concept of making good choices about friendship

Our students get the opportunity to learn and play a variety of team and individual sports with an emphasis on skill development, teamwork, and lifelong wellness. Continued emphasis is placed on learning and practicing social skills and conflict resolution.
