Enrollment Projections On Target

Student enrollment in the Fort Worth ISD has already exceeded last year's enrollment of 78,328 students. First-day enrollment is traditionally lower, and this year was no exception at 67,763. However, the numbers have steadily climbed, and as of September 7, 1999 the total enrollment had reached 78,870. Current enrollment shows 19,838 students in high school, 17,283 in middle school and 41,749 in elementary school.

Projected peak enrollment for 1999-2000 is 79,627 students.
