Consent Agenda:

The Board accepted the consent agenda, as amended, including second readings of Board Policy Section E: Instruction, EHBB (LOCAL) Special Programs: Gifted and Talented Students, and Addition to Board Policy Section G: GKD (LOCAL) Community Use of School Facilities; bond program budget revisions; the capital projects fund budget; general fund budget revisions; interlocal participation agreement for the Texas Local Government Statewide Purchasing Agreement;

Also, the District Textbook Selection Committee recommendations (first reading); a proposal to upgrade the career and technology programs at Trimble Technical High School; the schedule of tuition rates; the technology infrastructure fund proposal for 2001; a proposed Special Interest Program at Trimble Technical High School for 2001-2002; an application for districtwide professional development waiver day; a memorandum of understanding between the district and Fort Worth Baseball Club, L.L.C.; the appointment of Mary Louise Garcia to the FWISD Human Relations Committee; minutes of January 9 and 23 and bids over $10,000 as amended.

The Board Approved:

• a resolution regarding the testing of students with limited English proficiency; and
• the traditional, year-round and Elementary Schools Initiative calendars for the 2001-2002 school year.

Personnel:

• JoAnn Muldrew, interviewer/lead coordinator, was appointed lead interviewer/staffing coordinator, Human Resources.
• Delena Doyle, assistant principal, North Side High School, was appointed supervisor, Attendance Control Center.
