"Board Highlights" are published following each meeting of the FWISD Board of Education and distributed to all school and department locations within the district. "Board Highlights" are not official minutes of the board meeting but are a condensed report of action taken by the Board. "Highlights" may include staff appointments, the approval of consent agenda items, and other action items approved by the Board.

Regular board meetings are open to the public. Meetings are televised live on Charter Cable Channel 33. Minutes may be reviewed in the Superintendent's office in the administration building, 100 N. University Drive.

As of October 2005, the Board Highlights will now be in Adobe .pdf format and will include the Board Briefs. Board Briefs are provided the Friday before each Board Meeting to the Board of Education, Executive Staff, Central and Campus Administrators as a way to stay in touch with various on-goings of the district.
