Teacher Timelines

Dear PEAK Recommitment School Staff:

We hope you all had a wonderful spring break!

Many of you attended the PEAK information sessions on your campuses before the break. However, we wanted to send a quick reminder and clarification of some key upcoming dates as we move forward with the PEAK program:

ALL Teachers:

By March 28 - All teachers must turn in a recommitment letter to principals
March 31 – PEAK Teacher Job Fair, Round Up Inn, 4-7 p.m. – It's not necessary to attend this fair if you are electing to stay at your current PEAK campus. If you want to move to another PEAK school, FAX or mail in your in District teacher application and an invitation will be e-mailed to you

Teachers Interested in Working on a PEAK Campus:

As quickly as possible - FAX or mail in the In-District teacher application
March 26 – April 1 – Attend a "Visioning Sessions" at any of the PEAK campuses you are interested in learning more about
By April 1 – Haberman Screening Tool will be sent to you via e-mail with instructions for completion
By April 8 – Complete Haberman Screening Tool
Week of March 31 – On-campus interviews will begin for teachers who have indicated a desire to recommit and who have completed an in-District application

Teachers Who Do Not Want to Work at a PEAK Campus:

Beginning April 4 – Weekly vacancy reports will be sent to you
Date TBD – Attend HR Workshop regarding resume building and interview skills
May 12 & June 11 – Attend FWISD Job Fair (all schools)

Other Campus Staff:

By March 28 - All staff must turn in recommitment letter to principals
As quickly as possible - FAX or Mail in-District non-teacher application
