Career Resources

Career Resources provides employment assistance for current students, former students and graduates of the Fort Worth ISD, ages 16-24. Our purpose is to assist candidates in developing:

• Awareness of personal responsibility for employment and a self-directed job search
• Essential job search techniques to identify their strong points, market themselves successfully and handle interviews with ease
• Positive personal presentation skills in appearance, communications, application completion, phone techniques and self-evaluation
• Awareness and understanding of networking and its importance as a job search technique

Staff conduct presentations in schools and work collaboratively with teachers, counselors, and principals to provide students with various job search strategies and a broader vision of employment opportunities fostering a positive outlook on careers.

We connect job seekers with a large variety of potential employers who offer positions with opportunities for growth and advancement. This is accomplished by candidates searching through a self-directed job lead database containing a wide assortment of jobs.

We work cooperatively with the business community, the education community at large, and others to achieve our mission.
