At the beginning of the school year, the Communications Department asked each principal to designate an individual to help maintain the school’s campus website.  Now, we’re asking principals and Campus Web Managers to come together and evaluate those efforts.

Please fax this completed form to 817-814-1935 or scan and e-mail to meghan.youker@fwisd.org by Friday, May 18 at 5 p.m.  This will ensure the stipend appears on the June 2011 paycheck.  Failure to submit this form will forfeit all compensation.

The Communications Department is pleased to announce the creation of the Fort Worth ISD Webby Award. 

Each month, it will go to the school whose campus website best reflects online excellence.  The winning school will be honored each month at the Operational Principal’s Meeting with a traveling trophy, similar to the recognition given to winners of the Golden Sneaker Award. 

Each week, finalists will be named and featured on the District website as the Campus Website of the Week.  From those finalists, the winner of the monthly award will be selected and will earn an extra week of prime placement on the District website.  Good luck! 

The Communications Department will use the following questions to help evaluate the campus websites:

• Is the campus website attractive, appealing, interesting and engaging?
• Does it contain relevant and valuable information?
• Is content presented in an organized and accessible manner? 
• Does the website help drive parent engagement and build campus community?
• Is it current and up-to-date?
• Could a parent rely on the website for the latest school information?
