Fort Worth ISD selected AECOM to serve as the program manager for the 2007 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). One of the largest and most experienced program management firms with K-12 education bond programs, AECOM has served three of the four largest school districts in the nation and employs 45,000 people worldwide. Engineering News-Record (ENR) has ranked AECOM as #1 in Education for nine consecutive years.
In the State of Texas, AECOM is also one of the program managers for the Dallas Independent School District and the Houston Independent School District bond programs and completed a similar role in 2010 for the Dallas County Community College District. With a national reputation for sustainable design building solutions tailored to clients’ needs, AECOM assisted Fort Worth ISD in developing its long-term sustainability design policy, making Fort Worth ISD the first school district within Texas to have a formal policy that guides sustainability decision-making for both A/E firms and contractors.
AECOM’s experience, core values and commitment to excellence have been instrumental in building a strong reputation and credibility for the CIP from the start. Fort Worth ISD and AECOM staff work together as one team to deliver quality projects in support of the District’s vision and to serve the students, faculty, staff and Fort Worth community. Through careful management and best use of the opportunities opened up by a favorable market, this team has saved over $90 million to date, funds that will be used to further improve district schools.
