Choral & General Music

The mission of the District’s Fine Arts Department is to provide exemplary programs in music, dance, theater and visual arts utilizing the Curriculum Framework.  The initiative encourages high school completion and entrance into academic and technical institutions of higher learning.  To achieve this, the District will:

  • provide state-of-the-art fine arts equipment and facilities with continuing instrument and equipment upgrade and replacement,
  • increase student participation in the Fine Arts and foster support for the learning environment,
  • provide an opportunity for all the campus students to access and choose Fine Arts courses, and
  • Ensure that 100% of all secondary fine arts programs participate in all Fort Worth ISD and UIL sponsored events and attain at least a second division at each event with a first division being the standard.

here is no nobler calling than to instill in the life of a child a lifelong love of music.  As professionals it is the vision of every music educator to execute the highest standards of teaching and learning to our students.
