Advanced, Accelerated and Innovative Learning
The Advanced, Accelerated and Innovative Learning Department coordinates a variety of services offered to students who achieve at high levels or who have the potential to do so. All Programs and Schools of Choice (formerly called SIP and magnet) are managed through this department, as are gifted education, high academic program classes (HAP) in elementary schools, Pre-AP and Advanced Placement classes in secondary schools, and the AVID program on 29 secondary campuses.
