 Catch the Wave of Academic Success 

WHAT: Catch the Wave of Academic Success celebrating student attendance, improvement and success 

WHEN: Saturday, February 16, 2013, 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.  

WHERE: Dunbar High School, 5700 Ramey Avenue, Fort Worth 

WHO: Dunbar Pyramid schools, families and community (A.M. Pate ES, C.C. Moss ES, Maude I. Logan ES, Maudrie Walton ES, Sunrise-McMillan ES, Dunbar MS, Young Men’s Leadership Academy and Dunbar HS) 

SUMMARY: Students, parents, teachers and members of the Fort Worth ISD Dunbar High School pyramid community will celebrate student attendance, honor rolls and academic improvement during the Catch the Wave of Academic Success pep rally on Saturday, February 16, 2013.  

This achievement celebration is being hosted by District 3 Board of Education representative Christene C. Moss to honor students who have worked hard to succeed in school. 

The guest speaker for the day will be Byron Williams. Mr. Williams grew up in Texarkana, Texas, and played football at the University of Texas at Arlington. He became a professional player and played football for 12 years in the NFL, the CFL and World Leagues. He is currently the President of the Dallas Chapter of the NFL Players Association. 

There will be student entertainment throughout the pep rally and gift cards will be awarded for the highest grades. Transportation will be provided from Dunbar Pyramid elementary schools.
