Summary: The Fort Worth ISD and Be An Angel Fund, Inc. will dedicate the new Alison Hardin Playground and Eli Bradford Garden of Angels on Friday, November 16, at Joe Kelly School.
Be An Angel Fund was created in 1986 by a concerned parent who discovered the overwhelming requirements of special needs children at a Houston public school. Now over 26 years later, Be An Angel serves thousands of special needs children throughout Texas, primarily in the Greater Houston, Fort Worth and Dallas areas, providing specialized programs, services and equipment.
Together, Be An Angel and Fort Worth Independent School District have joined hands, taking on the task of raising the $155,439 needed to complete an all-inclusive barrier-free playground at the Jo Kelly School. Barrier free playground projects have been an enormous success and have exceeded all of our expectations in terms of its benefits to special needs children.
Alison Hardin attended the Jo Kelly School from the age of 3 through 22 years of age. She passed away in early 2011. Eli Bradford was a former student who passed away in early 2012 at the age of 4.
